Themes welcome:

1) world families and colonial contexts

2) kinship networks and inheritance strategies in stepfamilies and blended families

3) the roles of stepparents, parents and gendered structures of remarriage; relationships with the children in and out of the household

4) sibling relations – half-siblings (legitimate and illegitimate), stepsiblings, full siblings

5) representations in literature and art
